bought this dress in October 2011 at Running of the Brides in Newton, MA. I purchased it for $350, and it retailed for about $950. It is by Eden Bridals, Style 2322. This dress is very similar to the Badgley Mischka "Lauren" Dress. It is a beautiful, and very unique dress. As much as I love it, it isn't "me" and I bought it not wanting to leave the store empty handed. I waffled back and forth for several months, but finally ended up buying a new dress. Although it is a sample, it is in really clean condition with no rips, stains, tears, etc. You could have it dry cleaned if you wanted, but had I worn this dress, I personally wouldn't have bothered.
It is a polyester ivory satin, however it doesn't feel or look cheap at all. My new dress that I wore to my wedding is a natural silk satin (and cost much more) and you can barely tell the difference. The dress is a size 10, and fits a street size 8-10.
As you can see from the pictures, it is a slight fit and flare silhouette with a gorgeous train.
The top of the dress has delicate illusion straps with beading. The neckline features a crumb catcher top. There is also delicate beading in the center of the bust. I've tried this dress on with a nude long line bra, and you cannot see anything in between the bust, so it will work for someone looking for a modest neckline. The empire waist has matching beading with rhinestones and beads under the bust.
The dress does have a bit of a trumpet/fit and flare silhouette, but there is plenty of room to dance comfortably. Just above the knee, the dress flares out, and there are beautiful beaded appliques on either side.
The dress has beautiful beading on the back of the train, and I think it would fabulous with a French Bustle.
I've included a pic on me as well as the model. I am 5'2 and a street size 6...maybe 4. I lost a lot of weight after buying the dress but when I was bigger (like an 8-10) I think it fit pretty true to size. Keep in mind because of my height the straps are a bit too long on me.
(I have more pics available I can email to you, but can only upload 2)
